Driving My MDX

I took a ride to Patterson NJ today. I have had my black MDX for four months now. 3500 miles approx. I have to say though I only got 14 on RT95 into the GW Bridge I had a blast driving the car. I still love to get in my car and head somewhere. I don't miss the extra gears over 5th speed. I don't give a s**t about the gas milage being crap. I love the sound the radio cranks and the bumpy stinkin highway does not throw the car off track even on curves. And that is why I came back a third time and picked up my '09. I can jet around old pops hangin in the fast lane so fast they don't seem to notice I just dusted the front of his car. Manual shifting makes the car come alive and act like some of my big block chevy's I drove in the day. Thats my rap on my MDX...

I've not tried the SS on my own Black 09 MDX and I have the same mileage in my 2 months of ownership.

I do care about the fuel economy which soberingly (of not obviously) worse than that of my old 07 AV6. But , it is a blast to drive....for a 4600lb SUV. Unfortunately, I wound up getting snagged for speeding (about a month into my ownership) as you really don't realize how easily (and comfortably) it gravitates to 85 mph+. (It's not exactly a rocket but 300hp is 300hp!! )

A ticket now a days is like a 3 yr probation. But it is in terms of cash. In Ct. the law said ins companies can't increase the rate for speeding. This was done to quiet us down about the $300 and up tickets given out to us. BUT the ins companies simply say they are taking us off careful driving rate. 2.7 Million miles logged by satellite GPS no accidents means nothing to them. But my company wrote Met Life a letter. My car insurance comes thru my company. So I got my rate put back to where it was. This time.

I've had continuous coverage so long with a clean record that the I'm not too concerned about any substantial surcharges (if any) for the occasional moving violation. (Clean record, continuous auto insurance coverage for nearly two decades, married, home owner, good credit, etc....)

That said, the officer just issued me a warning.
