Right now I drive an 06 TL and I'm thinking about selling/trading it for an 07-08 MDX because I cannot get used to the ride height of a car. I really like the TL but it is a freaking rattle trap. A lot of them I have tracked down and some of them I haven't but regardless it drives me nuts. I wanted to hear from you MDX owners to see if it is riddled with the same problems. Also if anyone has driven both the 3G TL and the MDX, how is the road/wind noise in the MDX? The TL is fairly quiet but I feel it could be a lot better.

rattles....none so far.

noise...fairly quiet. i'd say the TL's cabin is a little more quiet (but only a little) than the MDX. i have this annoying wind noise in my driver's side door that i had to add weather stripping to in order to diminish the wind noise. it's about 85-90% improved. the dealer already tried to fix it and replaced the weatherstripping on the door with only a slight improvement.

i suppose if you wanted to insulate the TL a bit more...dynamat the car. i have my share of ticks in the TL, they bother me but i've learned to deal with it for now.

 

i hope the soon to be mine MDX will stay rattle free but knowing this is eventually inevitable, i just hope they can be fixed.

 

We have an 07 MDX and the only rattle we have is in the cup holder in the center armrest in the 2nd row. I haven't taken the time to figure it out and fix it. Otherwise we are and have been rattle free.

Thanks for the responses! I need to find an MDX to test drive. There are very rarely any acuras at all on car lots around here :-(

 

No rattles in our '08 MDX tech. Pretty solid after ~40K miles.
