Does anyone know how to disable the panic alarm circuit for a 2002 MDX? It radomly goes off (not actuated by the panic alarm button on the key). I have removed the horn relay to avoid disrupting the neighbors but my wife is uneasy driving the car without the horn operational. She did not like my suggestion of rolling down the windows and yelling loudly if need be.

did you see if all the doors were making contact with the sensor? It may be going off bc of that.

 

Has anyone ever seen this? My aunt's 2003 MDX recently started doing this, the alarm goes off on it's own at random times a few minutes after locking it. It's becoming quite an annoyance.

 

If it helps these are the trigger points on the 3G TL:

1 ea on each of the four doors
1 on the hood
1 on the trunk
1 on the radio
1 on the ignition

We used to own an 07 MDX but never had any issues with our alarm.
