Hey guys, I test drove a 2010 MDX the other day (right after test driving a 14 RDX) and it seemed like the small digital readout for trip/odometer/temp was kind of yellowing, like it wasn't the blueish-white color that the RDX had, it didn't appear to be just a different color, it looked almost like it was unevenly fading/tinting to a yellow color slightly.. Has anyone else noticed this? is it a common thing?
Just thought i'd ask!

 

I just checked the display on our 2012 MDX and it is a dull white. No hint of blue or yellow. This was with the car in a closed garage and the auto headlamps came on. I don't believe the color changes when the headlights go off.


Did you have sunglasses on when you were looking at it? I know my polarized sunglasses distort the color and readability of the display sometimes.

 

Nope, this was at night while it was lit up.. Let me stress again, it's not my MDX, just a few I've test driven (2010-2011 models) that I noticed this and maybe it's just how it looked new.. When I say yellowing I don't mean like a total full yellow, I mean just a slightly light hue to it, almost like when you adjust the color profile of your monitor). It's very subtle I just thought i'd ask.

 

i also have this yellowing of the multi function display on a 13 tech certified....any info from acura on this?

2011 MDX here and I do not notice yellowing of the MFD.

 

i previously had a 09 base mdx and did not notice a yellow ish screen.

it is kind of distracting given all the other lights are nice and white.....even more so at night.
