Is there any way to get around the $885 Destination charge or are dealers pretty firm on that?

It isn't negotiable. It is part of the dealer's cost and part of the actual invoice.

Yes and no. You have to pay $855 no matter what, but you can try to get a $885 better deal when negotiating; to answer your next question, yes you have to pay sales tax on the total price of the car whether MSRP (sticker), or the final price you agree on.
