Common Issues or complaints?

I'm coming from a 2006 TSX and am considering a 11 MDX.

1. Are there common issues/complaints with the 10 or 11 that I should be aware of?

Thanks!

My windows screech when I open them. I think there is a TSB on this but I haven't brought it back to the dealership to fix. The last time I was there I was told it was because my windows were dirty (even though I've owned cars with dirty windows for 30 years without this problem)....I didn't know about the TSB at the time.

Most of my complaints are technical nit-picks and the only major complaint that i have......well maybe not major but I think the ride is too harsh during city driving. On the highway its buttery smooth.

I did quite a bit of research on this, most of the stuff is nit picky, stiffer ride (try a X5), plastic wood, etc. hard to beat the residuals and cost per mile

I have a 2010 pilot 4wd ex-l, almost same as mdx. no complaints. You just need to check engine oil often. I recommend you to check once a week. My factory filled motor oil was a quart low at 5,000 miles.

I'm not too sure about the comparison... Mdx is 3.7L 6spd auto for 2010, not to mention different wheel size spring and shock rates, etc. I know they start from a similar base but they diverge quite a bit.

I don't know. Our MDX is perfect. We had a small fit finish problem with one of the vents. they replaced the vent, now that is that. Now totally perfect.

I have a 2010 MDX and a 2011 Pilot and, as others have said, they start with the same foundation, but that's about where the similarities end...really not a valid comparison.

And, with respect to the engine oil...I have heard that some Pilot owners have that problem. I have not...and I have not heard of anyone having a problem with the MDX eating oil...

I mean both pilot and mdx are good cars. You can't go wrong with either one. I bought Pilot because it is cheaper than mdx, more space, octane 87.

final, all pilot are powered by ADVANCED 3.5 L, and Mdx powered by ADVANCED 3.7 L.

Acura MDX 1/4 mile. 15.1 @ 93 MPH
Honda Pilot 1/4 mile. 16.1 @ 86 MPH

The Pilot rides more like a minivan while the MDX rides more like a car.

I have no complaints so far about my four day old 2011 MDX Tech other than there are so many features to learn and use.
