clear coat peeling off rims (Warranty)?

clear coat peeling off rims (Warranty)?
Are oem rims covered under 4/50k factory warranty if the clear is stripping off?

yes but some wheel cleaners may damage the finish so you may have to foot the bill if they find out it was a cleaner that damaged it.

i only use :Sonus Rim Bright Wheel Cleaner is a pH balanced cleaner formulated to safely and gently clean all light alloy wheels including clear coated, factory painted, chrome, polished and anodized finishes.

it might have been cause by power wash machine...i was using also.

that'll do it as it damages the paint finish by removing a layer at a time!

one the clearcoat has failed there is little that you can do. A shop can remove the rest of the clear, prep the base paint and respray clear.

Yes i went to my Acura dealer and they said it would not be covered. Would you recommend spraying or powerboat and clear?
