Check Trailer Stability, Check VSA, Check SH-AWD

Hello I’m new to this forum and wanted to share some information with you guys, about a recent problem that I had and fixed. My 2011 MDX base was giving these messages intermittently:
Check Trailer Stability Assist, Check VSA, Check ABS System, Check SH-AWD system, and sometimes also check TPSM system. During this, the MDX will only show it’s using front wheel drive. Brake lights work fine, checked fuses, good. Tire air pressure good. I noticed that sometimes when I tried to shift from park to drive with the brake pedal pressed, I couldn’t shift out of park, had to try it a few times for it to work. So I replaced the brake pedal switch and that turned out to be the problem, it is now fixed.

Hi.

Do not worry about the SH-AWD System by default it will disable itself with some OBD-II codes.. First we need to know what codes popped up so If you could get the codes we could further help you.
Right now I am only guessing but a faulty ABS Speed sensor can pop up all of those issues.

hii I have a question my 2010 Acura MDX has the same lights on the dash that you had but with the difference of they’re intermittent. Sometime the lights are on for 2 days and then off and keep off for 3 weeks.last time they showed on they was on for 2 days then went off. Do the same issue I have with the lights not been on the whole time happens to you ? Thank you.

I also have a 2011 Acura MDX and was getting these same error messages. Based on the post by Shawngs300, I replaced the brake pedal switch. My MDX is now fixed.
