I have done a few searches and most seem to deal with the emmission light and SH-AWD Light coming on at the same time. My problem seems to be everytime I get the car washed, the Check SH-AWD light comes on and seemd to stay on for 24-36 hours and then goes off? Has anyone else had this problem or know what could be going on? I dont want to take it in and pay for diagnosis. It is a 2008 Non-Tech MDX.

Does driving in the rain or wet conditions cause the same problem?

You might have a frayed cable or wires on one of the sensors. My son had a car which the light always came on for 24 hours or so when it got wet. Once it dried, the light went out.

I found a frayed wire on his wheel sensor and fixed it. No more lights came on when wet.

Well we just got the car so I don't know about in the rain yet but I assume yes. Where do I look for the sensors or the wires? Did you electrical tape the fray or use electrical connectors?

My '07 MDX is doing the same. The two lights come on at the same time even thru the two systems do not have anything to do with the other. The mechanic just resets the light and it comes back in a day or two. The SH-AWD will go out if you stop the car and turn if off. Performance is not affected.
