center armrest
center armrest
Hello to everyone.
I have a 2007 MDX Tech+Ent.
the leatherette on my center console lid is now coming off and
I would like to fix it. Does anyone know how to remove the lid so
I can change the cover to leather? don't seem to find any screws,
is it on clips?

They are screwed in, but you have to open the rear of the center console and then remove the plastic wood pieces to uncover the screws.
I made a detailed post here with pictures:

Let me know if you have any specific questions. Good luck!

I know this issue was discussed last Nov but wondering if anyone else as had this issue happen? The leatherette is coming off the passenger side center console of my 2007 MDX.
In my situation it appears the glue used has evaporated. It turns out when I went in to my Dealer here in Peabody, MA they also had at least one other customer with the same issue so I'm guessing this is happening to others out there?
After discussing with Acura they offered to cover 1/2 the cost as a measure of good will.
The car went out of warranty in June.
It seems to be a an obvious defect to me (you can see the glue basically evaporated), something that Acura should be recognizing?
Has anybody else had a similar issue?
