I backed into a spot in a garage, but was oblivious to the column to my left. I broke the glass on my side view mirror and I noticed a couple wires sticking out.

I'm not sure if the wires are for heating to the glass or not. The rest of the mirror including the lights are in working order.

Should I just get a replacement glass and put it on myself, or do I need to spend the money to have the shop check out the mirror?
