Anything wrong with the '07 MDX?

Just wanted to see any if there were any problems with the first year of the new design MDX. I've always tried to stay away from the first year production of a new model so the company can work out the bugs. I wanted a new '09 or even an '08 but I may just look at some '07s. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, Bob

Well I would definitely get an '09 if it's in your budget. There's a string of issues reported on early models but whether you'll have to deal with those problems or not is hit & miss.. you might just get an '07 that already had any previous issues resolved. I think overall the 2G X hasn't had any major issues... but it's still fairly early to judge.

btw.. you might be in violation of the forum rules with your avatar.. just a heads up.

If I am, I hope a mod pms me. In my opinion though, it covers up the same as a bikini and is the cover of GQ, so I don't see it that bad.

I was one of the first ones to get an 07 MDX (October 14, 06 ~ three days before the official debut) and I'm still enjoying it! I don't have any issue at all with the vehicle.

My $.02 will be staying away from 07 models simply because the chance of getting a car with some minor issues is greater than 08 or 09 models. But like the OP above pointed out that his 07 MDX still runs great with no problems. It's just statistically speaking ...

Good luck ..

Even if 2007 has bugs, they should be covered under the warranty.

I have an 07 with minimal issues. The only problem I have is with a popping noise if I turn on and then off the car within a minute, acura has the solution for it, but I have no time to drive 100 miles to get it fixed... Other than that, its been very good to me.

What is this popping noise and what's the solution?

its a pop from the speakers from interference, acura has to first try to update the Head unit with new software, if that doesn't work then they will have to replace the amplifier or the Head Unit according to my SA.

I started this post but if you look, I've bought a brand new '09 so I don't need to worry about the '07s anymore.
