Almost there for Timing Belt
Hi folks!
Well its almost due for my timing belt change... I suppose?
Since I bought my MDX used there are no service records anywhere to be found So I have to assume my timing belt has never been done it has 78K or 9 years and I am not taking any chances. So far I have:
AISIN Kit TKH-002, Gates Accesory Tensioner Pulley and Idler Bearing, Gates Accesory Belt, 2 Gallons of Type 2 Honda A/F
So:
AISIN Water Pump (OEM)
KOYO Idler Bearing (OEM)
KOYO Tensioner Pulley and Bearing (OEM)
AISIN Tensioner (Looks OEM)
MITSUBOSHI Timing Belt (Not OEM)
GATES A/C Tensioner Pulley & Idler Bearing (OEM)
GATES A/C Belt (OEM)
HONDA Type 2 A/F (OEM)
Need:
Cam and Crank Seals.
So far I spent:
AISIN KIT: 182
GATES A/C Tensioner & Bearing: 55
GATES A/C Belt: 20
HONDA Type 2 A/F: 40
Total: 297 so far, Plus the seals which are not very expensive.
Labor: DIY so basically that's it, The Job seems far easier than my TL so I might have this done in under 3 hours.
