I just had an tune up done on my 04 Acura MDX and I see they used a 5w30 instead of 5w20 motor oil and my car check engine light came on and it begin to hesitate when I pushed the gas can someone tell me what I should do.

Take it back to who did the oil change and speak to the manager.

 

I can assure you the check engine light did not happen because of a different weight of oil.
something else is the matter.

it's sunday so i doubt you can go back to the mechanic.

what you can do is go to an autoparts store and ask to get the check engine light read.
once you know the code, you will know what is wrong with the car, as the check engine light is a key or clue to help you figure things out.

Agree with crabman, The oil had nothing to do with the Check Engine light... Get those codes read ASAP.
