Guys, had my 2013 MDX service by a local repair shop. Had the fluid changed in the rear differential using Honda products. Shortly thereafter car began experiencing a vibration around 40 miles an hour. Drove it this way for about 2 weeks. Yesterday the check engine light came on as well as the SH-AWD indicator. MDX is now running smooth at 40 miles an hour but the rear differential has been disabled. All power is going to the front only. Can the car be driven in only front wheel drive mode and any thoughts as to cause and remedy. Thanks

 

Sorry to read... Hopefully the repair shop used the correct fluid for the rear diff. Also, when they changed it, I read it's not good to overfill or underfill it, so when the job is done, the vehicle must be completely level with all 4 tires to fill with the correct amount of fluid.

Not sure how to remedy other than getting it checked out by a trustworthy mechanic.
