I own a 2012 MDX and the paint is flaking off near the a door handle. This was not because of stone chips or anything... Will the Acura warranty cover this?

 

When I purchased my 08 RDX used in 2010, I noticed after a few months the clear coat was flaking on the front bumper. The carfax report came back clean for accidents when I checked at time of purchase. The local Acura dealer repainted under the basic warranty and it has been 100% for +6 years. I think my RDX was in a minor unreported front end accident and the bumper wasn't painted properly (driver's side fender gap near the door was also off). Since there wasn't any documentation to the accident, the dealership had to assume it was a warranty issue.

Acura "should" cover it if the damage occurred naturally and the MDX wasn't previously repaired by another shop because of a fender/bender.
