2012 MDX Owners in Puerto Rico?

Hello!

I am seeking 2011-2012 PR owned MDX's. I currently own a 2008 TL which I am leasing and I am looking into getting an MDX. If there are any PR owners I would appreciate you PM me the trim level purchased and the price you got it for. I want to know the grounds I could negotiate on.

If you are from the states and asking yourself why I would like this info? Prices in PR are different than the states..

A base 2008 TL here had and MSRP of 47K in 2008.. rebates and offers got it down to 40K still much more than the 32-33K price in the states..

I'll appreciate any info..

I will also understand if this topic gets 0 replies

Nice. Great vehicle to handle those hills and curves on the island. Congrats!

Thanks! Indeed great to handle the hills.. But for the curves I got a del Sol I track! Is that your TL? Looks solid!

Thank you, well the community is big, but not really organized.. Since I got into acurazine I have met a couple of TL owners from PR. But there are many Acuras around the Island, all models, MDX, TL, RDX many TSX.. know a couple of RSX owners also.. I will reach 4 years now with my TL and I still love the car.. Each time it gets washed I feel like its all new again..

Will stick with it a couple more years then decide what to do for a daily.. Haven't tinkered it since I put all my efforts into a del Sol I use as my track toy..

OIC. Maybe someone should organize a meet and start a chapter. What year is your TL? I purchased a 3G a few months ago and it is a beautiful car! I was thinking of getting an MDX after I pay off the TL. Hopefully, they will have push button ignition by then.

Wow, a del Sol! I have not seen one of those in quite a few years.

The TL is a Base 08, nothing crazy just got the mud guard kit, A-Spec front lip and dropped on Eibach's while running some 255 tires.. Probably will get a nice set of rims towards the end of year but the Sol has taken the attention away from the daily..

Pic of the TL..

Pic of the Sol..

You might like this.. Pic of my push button in my del Sol xD

I would be down to attend a meet of Acura's down in PR if it was organized..

Nice looking TL. I have been thinking of getting the A-Spec but I think I will wait until I get some other mods.

That del Sol looks hot! What kind of course do you go on? LOL at the push button. I guess you need it for the track though. Do you have F1 paddles or stick?

Yeah, I am sure it would be nice to have an Acura meet there. I would love to visit PR again.

Thanks!

Course is called Ponce Speedway, near the south of the Island..

Push button was just for fun..

Pretty intense! Was that 10 laps? How many HP and torque are you running? Does going red-line often damage the motor?

6 laps..

Stock motor, just a header, open exhaust and CROME ECU..

140hp and 105 tq

Redlining does not hurt it in reality.. b16's like to be up in the high rpm's.. engine does get punished by the high rpm's but I am pushing it's limits in wait of it to go out so I can do a full rebuild..

BTW, my car is still in the shop so they switched the loaner car from a '12 TSX to a '12 MDX w/SH-AWD!

Thanks.. It's a stock B16A2.. Nothing internally done.. Close to 200K miles.. Waiting for it to give up to refresh it but it's still pulling well..

Car does have fully adjustable Buddy Club coilovers with camber kits and an aggressive wheel/tire combo..

How do you like it?

I haven't had the chance to enjoy the new MDX.. I bought on Saturday drove it home 7pm from the dealer and was 4am on the way to the airport to head to the States for a couple of days on business travel..

It was switched out earlier tonight so I have not really driven it yet. I plan to do a little driving tomorrow but I also have my retirement ceremony in the afternoon. Hopefully, I can keep it for the weekend. I will let you know. How does your wife enjoy it?

She likes it a lot.. It really is a nice upgrade from the Endeavor she had..

Once I head back I will will be pulling a road trip around the Island with a couple of friends to test the seating capability and the gas consumption!

That's awesome! Good to hear. I have heard the gas mileage is decent in the MDX. I have not seen too many Mitsubushi Endeavors.

I am hoping my wife will like the MDX. However, we are leaning towards trading our '10 Pilot 4WD Touring for a '12 Odyssey Elite as our family is growing to 3 kids in June. I probably will get her the Odyssey and buy the MDX for me when I pay off my TL-S. LOL

Odysseys are nice.. That's what they move us around in when we take the Acuras in for maintenance.. But I would recommend keeping the TL-S.. Mine is a base and I will still not change it for the MDX as a daily.. I love the TL.. How it looks and how it drives.. And dropped on the Eibach it feels well planted on the road.. Once I get the rims I will complete its look.. So my two cents.. Odyssey for the family.. TL-S for yourself..

Oh, I am keeping the TL-S. I plan to teach my kids how to drive stick with it. She is definitely a beautiful car! I plan on getting the complete A-Spec kit and a roof spoiler for it. I will probably switch out the tires too but I kind of like the stock gun metal gray waffles on the TL-S.

I was talking about trading my wife's Pilot for an Odyssey due to better gas mileage, transporting our young kids, power sliding doors, and I love the wide/split screen entertainment system. I told my wife, I want to sit in the back with the kids in our mobile surround sound system.

My bad, I misunderstood!

I would tell you go for the trade then.. I really like how comfy the Odysseys are.. You won't regret the extra space for the family!

Yeah, they seem pretty comfy and somewhat luxurious (Touring Elite) as far as minivans go. I plan to sell the Pilot after I move to Texas in May. I need the Pilot to tow my TL-S for the road trip.

Nice TL, Sol, AND MDX! Very nice! I would like to take a vacation to PR, but Ifeel as though I should brush on some Spanish. I really need to learn it as a 2nd language.

Thanks! No need, lots of English speaking locals..

Been a while now with the MDX, racked over 3K miles on it..

Loving it, just hauling family or friends is a breeze now..

TL is in for service, acting up strange so I dropped it at the Service Center for a couple of days.. now running around in a loaner '12 TSX, pretty nice car..

Sol is almost done from full engine refresh and mild build..

Got the MDX Roof Racks.. looking to install in the next weeks..

It is! I enjoy driving the MDX more than my TL :/ feels much more solid, but I might need to change the shocks on the TL, it has around 70K miles on it and it has had the Eibach's on for a while now..
