2012 MDX check VSA & check Trailer Stability assist
I recently replaced my torque converter and after reinstalling the engine and transmission I had no trouble indicators for 20-30 miles then all at once the Check VSA and Check Trailer Stability Assist warning messages showed up. I don't have a check engine light and no codes are stored, that my little scanner can read. It seems to me that it would have to be a connector that came loose and is no longer connected, but which one? Any assistance y'all could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a factory navigation screen? Some codes are stored and spoken through AcuraLink messages.
Otherwise, find a professional diagnostic scanner that can read not only engine codes, but also vehicle subsystems such as ABS / VSC modules, SH-AWD, etc.

I do have a factory navigation screen and since you asked I'm assuming AcuraLink is something I should be able to access through that. I'll chack the owner's manual to see if it mentions anything about it.

The messages weren't helpful. So I checked all electrical connections and checked for blown fuses. No bad connections that I could find and no blown fuses. I guess I'll have to take it to the dealership for diagnosis.

I had similar warning messages on my 2008 MDX. I went to the shop and reset all past errors and warnings, cleaned out the corrosion on battery terminals and then drove around for the past week and the error did not appear anymore. Not sure what fixed it but it might be the corrosion on the battery terminals. Hope that helps.
