2012 HDD audio question
So my wife really loves the HDD, borrows CDs from the library, friends etc and has loaded up a nice collection.
My question: What happens when I sell the car? Is there a way to transfer the music collection to an external HD, and then reload onto a new MDX?
I know I probably should rip every CD to itunes to have a copy, but then you need to burn a CD in order to reload onto a new HDD, or I could use an external usb or iPod, but that is all more work for me.

If you borrow a CD then copy it to the HDD in a PC in the original format. If you put it in ITunes then it will be compressed and you won't be able to load into your next MDX or get the original quality back.
Of course, the next MDX will probably allow you to import MP3's so quality will never be a criteria.

MP3 is very often reduced and compressed compared to CD.
Downloading is the same unless you got very pricey gear to re mix the audio bit rate.
