hello all,
I just got my wife mdx(2011), but the rear DVD entertainment system is kinna acting funny,,..?
whenever I push the "DVDPWR" on the dvd screen will flip down and start play fine for like 5 seconds and then for some reason the DVD audio will stop and automatically switch to front audio source. I asked the 2 different sales man and of course I got the usual answer.. "oh.mmm.. I dont know y... it's not supposed to do that..?" idiots...
So my question is, y is the dvd audio keep switchin to the front source? any1 has a clue?? thx~

It will automatically switch to the front source to allow you to listen to music while other people are watching the DVD and listening via the headsets. However, if you want to have the sound in the entire car, just press the DVD key, this is the first one on the key chain for the DVD. This key will allow you to listen to the dvd locally and not only the rear via the headsets.

I just use the steering wheel control button for "mode" and I scroll through until I get the DVD. That will keep the sound from the DVD on the entire car's speaker system.

I had the same problem when I first bot the car. Took me a while to figure it out.
