2009 Acura MDX Radiator Fan Issue

Wassup to you all, question for those that may have had this problem happen before. I recently had my MDX go throw a head gasket replacement. After getting the engine back into the car I noticed that upon shutting the car off the RADIATOR FAN would kick on. I also noticed that car would reach temp and fan would not turn on. I took my computer and went to see if I can manually turn the fan on to see if it’s an electrical issue and it turned on perfectly fine. The radiator does begin to smoke the moment it reaches to temp but the needle to gauge remains halfway while smoking.

can anyone tell me the reason to fan no turning on when car reaches temp? The relay is good since I just put a brand new one in. I’m trying to trouble shoot this and it’s mind boggling. Any help would be greatly appreciate

cooling system properly bled? If there's air in the system, it can lead to issues.

funny you write this lol I began burping the radiator and no more overheating. I completely forgot to burp it after the water pump swap out. I appreciate your response

Awesome, glad you figured it out! I've had my bouts with burping coolant systems (primarily on my K24 RSX). Definitely a PITA.
