I am having intermittent Disc read error.
Cleaned the disc and use the maxell lens cleaner , still have issue.

Tempted to take open the dvd player and clean the lens manually with qtip but have not figure out how to remove the driver seat in order to remove the dvd nav player.

In case, I want to just replace the dvd nav player, does anyone know where to buy one cheap?

Is there link to get acura PN for this item?

There aren't any cheap ones. You don't have to remove the drivers seat. Slide it way back. There are several threads already going on this and hacking the system. Shouldn't have to recreate the wheel. They helped me quite a bit and opened my eyes as to what you can do.

 

It's either the disc your using or the CD player needs to be fix or replaced. Look around in your local phone book or google and see if there is any kind of audio repair shop and have then look at if first because the factory radios for the mdx(or any Acura at that) are expensive as hell. The Acura dealer that I work at sends off the radios that are out of warranty that we can't fix to a audio repair guy and let him fix it and I haven't had one come back sayin that it can't fixed yet so try that first
