We bought a '05 Touring Nav/RES from a local dealer and it came with 2 Remote #1s. Obviously, when both my wife and I use our respective remote to unlock the doors, the memory seats always revert to Mem 1. Is there any way to program my remote (I'm Mem 2) to activate Mem 2 settings or am I stuck with pushing the Mem 1 button every time I open the door to drive?

I always thought the remotes were the same and the seats would automatically default to their last settings.

i.e. if driver one was driving, next time they go in the vehicle it would be dr. 1 settings.

 

mem 1 will only control mem 1, mem 2 will only control mem 2 when opening the doors. You can buy a new FOB from ebay for 30 dollars, and programming instructions should be included... Just make sure it has the same FCC ID as your current remotes.
