2002 acura mdx speedometer not working
hi everyone! i'm new to the forums but have been a long time acura owner. i previously owned a 94 legend and currently own a 2002 mdx (owned it for the past 6 years). other than some minor warranty fixes, i never had any major problems after 90k miles of driving it. i also take very good care of my cars and tend to keep them for a while.
my problem is that i just had my windshield replaced. when i got it back from the shop, my speedometer is not working and also the D5 indicator is also not lit if it's in drive. everything else is working, except for these two. there is no check engine light or any other warning light indicators.
i called the shop and they said they did not touch any of my electrical stuff except for the rearview mirror. i don't know if it's coincidence, but everything was working before i took it in.
i'm trying to see if anyone has a similar problem, but can't find any similar issues. pls let me know what you think before i take it in to a mechanic. i appreciate your help.
thanks!

btw, i forgot to indicate that the transmission was replaced by the dealer back in 2007 at 60k miles. this was covered under my extended warranty. not sure if this is relevant but might be worth mentioning.

You might want to get under there and see if any connectors are loose or off of the tranny. Not sure about new cars and where or how the pick up is but it used to be from the trans.

i will do that. i did check the engine bay and underneath the dash but did not see any. but i'll try to go underneath and check. thx.
