1G MDX Navi "Please check disc"

Working with a 2003 Acura MDX Tech w/RES ... replaced side and front engine mount + both trans mounts... had to remove battery to get fish front engine mount out ... while working on the side mount (passenger side) I started to disconnect the bigger cable (pointing at the driver fender) that plugs into what looks to be a module (directly under the mount and the main fuse box), I didn't completely remove it, just slid the lock to the left and wedged it out a little bit, then thought better of it and removed the correct bracket... there was a lot of dirt on top of the cable...

After finishing the job, reconnected the battery and the Navigation screen is black, except for a "Please check disc" message ... removed DVD player under passenger seat to see if there's a Navi disc stuck.. removed lid.. looks like no disc inside the DVD player ...

I couldn't care less about some prehistoric navigation system, but I don't have access to climate controls, that's an issue ...

I bought the car from an auction, the navi and climate controls were working perfectly before I disconnected the battery.. etc. ...

I have all of the original manuals and radio / navi codes ... the backup camera works fine, as does the radio after I type in the code ...

Any and all suggestions appreciated ... thank you, kindly ...

There is a button on the disk drive which will eject the white disk. If there is no white disk you will need to buy one. You can buy the latest maps for I think 99 bucks or look for older maps on ebay and they can be had for less, I picked up 2014 white disk for $35 on ebay some 6 months ago.

thanks, illustro... the vehicle had a navi disc before the auction, someone stole it (as usual) ... mind you, after i disconnected the battery, i even lost access to the navi screen and menu options for climate control (everything was fine before i removed the battery)... will purchasing the correct disc remedy this? seems like the data is written from the disc to an onboard hard drive in the vehicle... not sure... thanks again
