09 Honda Pilot rims on 09 MDX for winter?
Just picking up a 09 black/black MDX Elite model here. It will joining my 03 TL-S to complete Acura family of vehicles.
I am posting this thread to see if I can use 09 Pilot 17" rims on my MDX as I will be using them to install 4 winter tires 245/65/17's. I cannot get hold of Acura dealers as they are extremely busy and Honda guys are no help. I believe they are same bolt pattern so that's not an issue, but I am more concerned about clearing brakes, etc. This tire size was recommended by Tirerack so I will trust their recommendation. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

No problem fitting 09 Pilot rims on 09 MDX. I used it for about 2 months then sold the rims and studded winter tires. The studded tires were so loud, I couldn't stand the road noise any more. This year I will go with studless ones for sure. So far, no luck in finding MDX/Pilot/Ridgeline rims yet.

The way I look at it, putting steel rims on MDX is like wearing a nice suit with white socks or wearing shorts with black socks and sandles. Just not as classy. Spend a few bucks and go with aluminum. If I cannot find anything locally, I will probably order from Tirerack or Discount Tires.
