07 MDX Water Pump problem

I have a 2007 Acura MDX base model. It has 48,400 miles on it (close to end of warranty). I heard a noise in the front of the MDX, passenger side of the engine, brought it in, and they performed TSB 08-031 on it. The noise went away, and I've had nothing but trouble since. I accelerated onto the highway and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas Tree. Some connector was bent. I brought it in and it was fixed. Then, I smelled coolant every time I drove it. brought it in and they "bled a bubble" out of a line. THEN a STRONG burning smell came from the engine every time I drove it. They've had the MDX for two weeks, trying to find out what was wrong. they called today and said the water pump was leaking. yes, the new one. I asked for a warranty extension since I was so close to the end of mine, and I had no confidence that they didn't permanently damage the engine. still waiting on that. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had issues with water pumps after TSB 08-031.

If it did not overheat I doubt any damage was done to the engine.
