01' MDX Valves Louder After Adjustment???

Had my MDX serviced yesterday by a local, reputable shop. The valve adjustment was long overdue (131k odo) so I had it done. They had the car for 2 full days so the engine was completely cold when they serviced it. I got home last night after work, and my wife had picked it up. I started it to see how it ran, and u can't hear it from inside the car, but I did a walk around and the passenger side of the motor is really noisy compared to the other side. I popped the hood and throttled it and the valves are going clack clack clack clack getting louder as the rpm's get higher. I had my wife take it back to the shop, and the owner (who used to be a Honda mechanic) said it doesn't sound out of the ordinary to him... It sounds like a diesel truck almost. Anyone else run into this problem? It runs and drives great, just excessively noisy.

Doesn't sound right to me. Should be quiet and idle smoothly. The tech must have done something incorrectly on the clearances of the right bank. Some of those guys tend to lose their hearing acuity due to long term exposure to engine noise... especially common with small engine repair techs... just sayin' it's a possibility
