GROM audio adapter for mp3
Issues(Resolved?):
Rust in rear wheel wells, three front vent adjusters broken. Can't find XM radio tuner to unhook so the sound doesn't bleed through when I play songs from my iPhone. <Still working on fixing all three issues.>

USERNAME: Steve G PW
YEAR: 2010
MODEL: MDX w/Tech
MILES: 47,500
PURCHASE DATE: 4th of July 2014
AVG MPG: 19.5
MODS:
* Plasti Dip chrome trim around windows (7/16/14). If I like it… I'll try to find a more permanent solution
• Tint front windows to match rears (7/15/14)
* Looking into Fuzik or other smart key entry / push button start / remote start, etc.,
* Looking into Vossen VC3 or other wheel similar. A better, more aggressive and balanced look (stock wheels look a bit too small for the massive body of our MDX
* Looking into color change on front facia pieces (grill surrounds)
* Looking into improving the look of the headlights (DRLs, LED turns, blacking out some of the chrome, etc.,)
* Not sure what to think of the "Advanced" running boards. I have to step over them now… the back of my leg hits the edge every time. I'll get back to you on this one.
* LED everything I can (duh)
So… I've had plenty of modding experience and I've created some very nice rides… always with the help of great forums, vendors, and local input. I'm happy to be here and I'm enjoying the new to me MDX. I traded-in a 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS and I have to admit… it's a slight shock to my system. But, the maintenance costs for the MDX vs the GTS alone make it worthwhile. I'm not that rich!!! haha
Glad to me here.

My wife and i have been looking for the MDX for awhile, recently we found really good MDX, the mileage is a little high but we got the 2002 TL-Type S and it is 230K miles now without a problem, just had to the transmission fixed for $1700. I think that is pretty good consider we have been driving the car for almost 12 years. Anyway, we did buy the extended warranty which give us 3 years from the purchase day or 125K miles whichever comes first. Has been driving it everyday after purchasing it and totally love it. I think it is the most beautiful SUV I don't know if we got a great deal or not, we pay $25,009 for it, they were asking for $25,512 (it was 27K a month ago) Here are some pics:

Hi. We just got a 2014 MDX Tech Black on Black.
Looking to learn about all its features and how I can make it unique to my style. I come from a heavy modded Toyota root and know a lot about them. I am very interested to see what can be done with this sweet Acura. It so smooth and quite. Id like to tint the windows and upgrade all interior lights to LED.Get some HID fogs to match the factory HID. Black out a few things and learn about the tech end of this .
Pics to come shortly...

Mods:
1) Dual DVD RES being installed
Considering Advanced running boards, roof rails, and moon roof visor
Issues:
1) Still with dealer as they are currently looking into TCS and VSA that popped up during the test drive
2) Fixing one of the lowering handles on the 3rd row seats (wasn't sitting flush)
Thankfully, with CPO, I'll get to test it out and fix any additional issues.

The 'seller' rolled back the odometer to 80,000
None other that I can tell except for a Viper Remote Start with a dead battery, who knows...we'll see...
Issues:
Figuring out the maintenance history.
I will definately be doing ANY/ALL deferred and pro-active maintenance in the next month"
Timing Belt/Water Pump/Tensioner
Upper and Lower Coolant Hoses
Anything Else ???
I called Rizza Acura to get prior maintenance history based on original owners. Verbally they confirmed that the prior owners serviced the car regularly (oil changes) but did not see a timing belt/water pump changeout. A new transmission was installed at 130k miles.
If anyone on this forum has a contact at Rizza or another Chicago dealer that would be able to help with the maintenance history, please let me know - PM or email is OK.

New Guy
New on the board. Momma is picking up a 2002 MDX that has been a garage queen, one owner vehicle all its life. Has 195000 miles but here in Atlanta it doesn't mean much. If your car doesn't have at least 100000 on it, it is still considered "new". And a bonus - no rock chips or cracks in the windshield. Atlanta roads are always under construction somewhere. Windshield cracks are normal.

Unless the rims were changed by the previous owner, that's not a "Sport" MDX. On the inside, near the shifter there will be a button that will allow you to adjust the suspension dampening, that's the (main) difference between the regular MDX and the Sport Package one.

New to Acura
Greetings!
Just bought my first Acura, a 2015 MDX w/Advance and Acu-link. Have a total of about 700mi to date. So no hacks, no mods. Yet. Acura seems unable to get the whole Auca Link thing working. Finally go someone with brains at Tech support. Even gave me his direct extension in case it isn't resolved next business day.
That only took five toll free calls.
Other than that it is an excellent machine!

Issues:
None so far. I know I've got the 105,000 mile service coming up, and after I purchased my MDX, I found the original owner, and was told that the transmission has never been serviced.
I also own a 2011 TSX, which I bought brand new, it's the wife's car, but it's what got me interested in Acuras. Glad to be part of the group!
