$33500 for CPO 2011 MDX w/ tech...good deal?

Hi all,

I know there's a lot of talk about the 2014 MDX and my thread isn't probably what you guys want but I couldn't find a thread on prices on CPO MDXs.

I have a little one on the way and need a larger vehicle. I want to stay in the Honda family so my wife and I decided on an MDX. I found one for $33500 2011 CPO Black MDX w/ tech w/ 24k miles. I think this is a good deal considering similiar models are a little higher. The thing that's throwing me off is I've been reading that some you guys have purchased brand new 2013 MDXs w/ tech for around 39k-40k. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Bruce

In all honesty I think that's a good deal. I went to edmunds, and looked up the value for the mileage, year, and trim level, but for my area.

Dealer retail is around $36,700. At the bottom it says CPO pric $39,000! KBB has it just a few hundred more for CPO price compared to Edmunds, and NADA has it around $38K for retail. Take these valules with a grain of salt, but that is a pretty good deal considering used MDX's still go around $35K in my area.

And if you want too, look up the use MDXs in your area (autotrader, cars.com, etc) and see what they're listed for. That's what I'd do. Compare, look up values, etc.

Still $33,500 for a CPO with 24K miles (tech pkg) is a great deal imo. Good luck! Hope a helped a little bit.

Ok, so I got it down to $33k but I'm at another dilema..lol. They have another Black one: 2011 w/ 16 k for $38000 w/ advanced and entertainment package..maybe I should go for that one, I can't make up my mind right now. I will just try to see if they can go lower on the one with advanced & entertainment and decide from there. Thanks for the the input so far.

Go for the one you want and if its in the price range that you want to pay then go for it. There is nothing wrong with paying alittle extra if you think it's worth it. Let us know what you decide.

So I checked out both vehicles and even though they were certified they weren't clean. Major scracthes, dirty interior, etc so I went w/ my second choice which was the RX350 AWD.

Picked up a loaded 2011 CPO RX350 w/ 25k miles for 34k. I couldn't resist the white w/ black interior. I know it's not as sporty as the MDX but I'm sure it'll be a nice family car.

Thanks for all the replies.
