New CL owner... Some advice?

Recently bought 03 CL S 6speed. Stock. Any suggestion for good mods. And has anyone used Raceland coilovers?

welcome! what are your goals with the car? looks? more hp?

I've never heard of raceland coilovers. remember that many suspension parts are interchangeable between our car and the 6th gen accord and 2nd gen TL.

Congrats! Check out the best mod threads. I recommend starting with Corpsort shifter bushings and then an intake.

Thanks I'll keep that I mind and I'm just gonna aim for a clean look. But I really do want good performance and this suspension is not cutting it i was driving 07 Gti that was on eibach springs and this Acura CL handling doesn't give me great confidence.

where are you located? i'd check out kijiji and the black market section here for deals. Headers are the best hp mod you can do but only headers with bend in the rear header will fit the 6speeds. I believe only xs power claims to make some that fit and their quality is questionable.

ya i started looking into the J32A2 Mods and i got excited to hear that this motor can reach close to 300hp easily and how great the gains are for header and exhaust mods, im located Hamilton. Hour away from toronto. but i wanna get the suspension right it doesnt feel to good i feel the car body roll into turns i hate it.

http://www.racelandus.com/coilovers/...coilovers.html can anyone tell me how these look for the price???

i'm in hamilton too. i saw this add the other day on kijiji. 1998-2002 Honda Accord Tokico Blue Shock/Neuspeed Spring Combo | other parts, accessories | City of Toronto | Kijiji

Those and a rear sway bar would improve handling a million times.

I've never heard of those coilovers but that is a very cheap price. I'm guessing you'll get what you pay for with those.

i guess just make sure the shocks are hard to compress. if they're blown then they'll compress easily. the shocks and springs are both a good brand though. I think you'll need to use your CL top hats if i'm not mistaken. I may have some in my garage i bought years back.

hey, got your message but I can't message you back since you just joined. I think you need more posts.

eibach or progress for the rear bar. I wouldn't bother with a TB spacer. get some headers first if you can 20 whp right there.

alright that makes sense why i couldnt find the message even though i got email notification, ive checked around for headers cant really find any for the 6 speed. do you know who still sells them? and you think those used tokicos blue shocks are worth getting? 90,000k driven on them with stiff race springs those probably wont last long especially on Hamilton roads aha.

the only headers available for the 6speeds are comptech (discontinued) and some ebay ones. The ebay ones are hit and miss. There's a thread here on them somewhere. 6speed headers need a bend in the rear header to clear the motor mount.

coilovers are really the best to drop the 6speeds because we're lighter up front than the auto CL's. The springs were designed around the autos and they can make your drop higher up front that it should. But decent coilovers are going to be around a grand. It's hard to say with that used setup, but that is a cheap price.

I have a set of ported runners and a manifold for sale if you're interested.

Yank out the stock air filter & replace it w/ AEM cold air intake. Bumper removal probably required. 21-509P - AEM , AEM Cold Air Intake System direct from AEM

Replace standard HID bulb with 5000K Morimotos.
