You may want to ask that question in the Regions section. That way local (to you) members will see it.

Took our '04 TL to the dealers to do the oil change. We're at 94K. Next visit he says should do our 105K service $2k....Oil leak somewhere near the timing case, 1k for the seal. Will cost somewhere near $3K for the "package deal"!

RIP OFF OR WAT?!

Wow this seems like an awesome deal, this almost beats out my employee discount from the large auto parts retailer I work at and this is factory stuff not random brands!

Could you quote me the timing kit, with idler pulley, front brake pads and rotors(6speed) and a thermostat.

I would have PM'd you but then everyone else won't get the benefit of my quote!

There is a tensioner missing from that kit that you really should not do this job without. It's called the timing belt adjuster and the list price is $107. I think he is trying to short cut it to beat my price. Be carefull!!

Looking into getting the complete kit from you. I'm at 117,xxx miles and am in need of a major service. What other parts would I need? I already replaced my breaks so won't be needing brakes.

Besides the timing kit and fluids (atf, coolant, brake fluid), the only other things you should replace if you haven't already are the plugs, valve cover gaskets and spark plug seals, (replace during valve adjustment) and whichever filters you are due for (oil, air, cabin). I've got all that stuff in stock and can make you a good deal especially if it ships together.

So if I take out the serp belt and put in 2 valve cover gaskets you are looking at $299 shipped.

Hey Larry it looks like I am going to order from you after all but I have a question first...

So it looks like there are a couple 105k timing belt packages you are offering.

1) Timng belt, water pump, both tensioners, and drive belt for $320

2) All the above plus spark plugs, idler pulley, and thermostat for $450.

(Am I correct about the parts and prices?)

My real question, is it recommended to get the extra stuff (plugs, pulley, thermostat) too or does it make a big difference?

Never mind again.

Last ditch effort I found a very reputable Honda/Acura shop that with parts (timing belt, drive belt, water pump, tensioners, spark plugs) and labor for $625. A steal! My mind it set.
