How much gas does the tank hold?
I picked up my Acura about 3 weeks ago now and have filled up the tank 3 times now and each time it only takes about 13 gallons or so to fill the tank up. Each time I fill up the tank the trip conputer says I've got 10 to 30 miles left to drive.
Is there something wrong with my tank, or is that normal? I was under the impression that the tank held 16 or 17 gallons.

Yes it does hold 17 gallons. I know it doesn't seem like it. I bet Acura just knows how people push things and didn't want anyone running out of gas. In all truth, you can squeeze more into your tank at fill up, usually 2 gallons after pump stops. You can also run your tank 40-60 miles after "miles to empty" reads 0 due to the 2.? gallon reserve. So if you want the most miles out of a single tank, fillup ALL the way, and run till 40 miles past empty. 40 mi is based on 2.? gallon reserve, so if you have 2 gallons and get 30 MPG on the highway, that is 60 instead of 40, etc. I wouldn't push past 40 just to be safe.

This info is excerpted from a very long thread I started about fuel tank capacities, etc. and is based on actual and precise testing
a. When the low fuel warning light comes on, if you are getting 25 mpg you can go 94 miles, but if you are only getting 20 mpg, you can only go 74 miles. Of course, other miles per gallon figures will result in different results.
b. When miles to empty reads zero, that is time to fill up, but you can still go 57 miles at 25mpg, but only 45 miles at 20mpg.
c. When filling the tank, if you stop at the first shutoff, you will have about 17 gallons in the tank.
d. The tank will actually hold about 19 gallons, but it is not recommended to fill the tank to capacity, so stop at the first shutoff.
