I have an 08 Type S with 105k Miles. I drive an average of 500-600 miles a week. I'm going back to school and now I will be driving 600-700 miles a week easily.

Is it worth it for me to just drive my car and rack up the miles OR just buy a little cheap car and just drive that around to work? If so, what car should I look into. If I was looking for another I wouldn't care too much about the power, but more about the comfort. I've noticed this TL has spoiled me and anytime I drive another car, I notice that its just not as comfortable.

Why did you buy the car in the first place?
if you bought the car to last 10 years while giving you comfort, speed and handling than you bought the right car!!!!

if you bought the car to be a collectors item than you bought the wrong car.

Keep the TL and drive it. Why buy another car?

You aren't worried about power etc, but I'm sure once driving a "commuter" with less power and not as comfortable you will be upset, because well you said it yourself, the TL spoiled you.

Buying another car = More money.

Drive the TL, rack up the miles...

I know its off topic, but are you in sales or something? 6-700 miles a week is a LOT. I know some people have long commutes, but typically (NE) it's due to traffic, not distance. My commute (when I make it, I work remote mostly) is 40 miles one way, and it takes about 45 minutes. Even if I drove it every day, that's only 400 miles a week, and I consider that high. I couldn't fathom double that.

Worth is subjective.

Just as justnspace said, you need to decide as to why you bought the car and what you would consider in your next vehicle.

If you're going strictly for comfort, you're probably looking at a car in the same price range, same MPG rating, and probably same overall maintenance costs. If you're looking for more MPGs, then you'll be sacrificing comfort to save at the pump.

I think the TL-S is a great balance between power, comfort, styling, and fun factor. I mean it's all subjective, but you'd be on quite a search to find another car that offers all that in one package. For an almost 8yr old car, it's a damn good one.

I have 178k on mine and just dumped $2k in preventative maintenance to restore it to "new" condition...which was the right choice. I'd sell the car but honestly, there's no damn point; they last quite the long time.

On an old car with high mileage there will be a certaint point after you spend x amount of money fixing so it can be a reliable DD. its not worth selling anymore. I would just rack the milage up and save up for another collector car if you worry about mileage.

And yeah I agree most of y'all and should just drive this. My work is 45 miles from my house but starting on Mondays I need to go somewhere else after work which is 60 miles away.
