Clazzio Seat Covers
Hey all,
Anyone heard any details about the endlessrpm group buy of clazzio covers?
I heard they had some crazy order amount of like 70-75 sets..
Ordered mine back in October, they weren't supposed to ship off until at earliest last month. Just wanted to see who else was waiting!
What color combos did you guys order?

I hear ya... Just hoping it is as snug as people claim. I've got a real thing about things being perfect.
I was back and forth for a while, but it seems like the best option other than replacing the oem covers completely. Perforated leather is completely destroyed on mine, even with conditioning and cleaning... No clue how the previous owner took care of the interior though (or lack of)

Cool! Good luck! Make sure you tape down some towels on your side sills when removing those seats.

Since these are just "covers" and not replacement leather, I was thinking that some heavy duty adhesive would probably help keep them form fitted to the contours better. They don't and can't have any way to keep themselves tucked into the creases, so maybe some good double sided tape on the base of the seat, and the middle back would keep it snug.
Just a thought.

Maybe..
I'm thinking it will tighten itself a little bit overtime when it gets hot and has a chance to form better to the seat instead of the folds from the way it was made/packaged.
Also, I might go crazy if I heard any kind of double sided tape (or similar) under the covers make 'crinkle' sounds.
There's a number of people on instagram who already installed or are installing theirs right now:

not my style but you may want to complement those seats with this style for the floor mats:

Supposedly Clazzio/Endless is going to also offer in real Leather - those will probably be at least $100 - $200 more, so even closer to replacement leather.
For the price sensitive though, it's all about what the total outlay is, and you probably won't find anything nicer for less money. I was surprised they didn't make them in non diamond stitch. They would/should have been around $300 or less without that, as it is labor intensive.

It took a while, but it's done!
They are still covers, which anyone can tell once they touch them enough in the centers (they don't "stick" to the centers). However, sitting in them, or looking at them.. you wouldn't really be able to notice. They don't slide or move around. SUPER tight fitting.
I didn't end up taking the seats all the way out of the car, but I did unbolt them to better pull and strap them in as tight as I could. The end result is a pretty comfortable new interior. It does smell a little bit, even though I gave it a few days for the materials to air out in the mud room. Head rests were very difficult, and backseat was seemingly impossible. One bolt (just off center) I needed to undo holding both the bottom and top back seat down was just spinning.. so obviously had to work around that. Pretty sure the nut on the other side is above the gas tank so there was no way to get to it. It would have made life much easier.
The manual that came with it was just ok.. pics and descriptions specifically for the Acura TL, but they missed on a bunch of key things like the bolt i described above, didn't even mention it. Plus they said if you knew what you were doing basically it should only take about 2 hours total. I call b.s. Took me with the help of my brother on the back seats a good chunk of my saturday.
Close to a year ago, driver side
Close to year ago, passenger side
Both seats got WAY worse, even after I had tried patching with material and leather repair, leather glue etc. The foam was even beginning to wear out. So I ended up preventing it all together. Some carefully placed duct tape. Ugly, but much better than tearing the seats up.
Then after ordering the covers back in October from the group buy on endlessrpm.. roughly $370 shipped. Here they are!
Passenger side done, feeling confident to do the rest.
Finished!

Wow... Pretty impressive really. Are they loose anywhere like in the corners, etc?
#16
No, not really. There is a tiny bit of extra material on the center armrest up front, but it's only noticeable when you are opening it, just on that front portion.
Actually if anything they are almost too tight for some of the corners on the seats. the back seat I struggled even with my brothers help to get the corners to pull around and tuck in. You have to basically force it as hard as you possibly can without ripping through the material. But once it's on there.. it's snug and tight. And the headrests would basically have to be cut off, they are on there for good.

Hook it to?
It doesn't sit perfectly against the seat (at least at first), it has gotten a little better with weather changes and usage though. I think there will always be a little bit of distance between it and the actual seat underneath. Looking at it and sitting in it you can't tell, only when you press on it and then let go can you see it comes back maybe a 1/4 inch.
In general it's pretty tight fitting. I feel like one day it may need readjusted if I didn't tuck it in well enough in certain spots. The back seat on the passenger side isn't quite tucked in far enough, but that's my only gripe.. near impossible to fix without removing the seats again. I don't think it will cause issues.

The diamond stitch pattern actually really annoyed me at first, especially after I ordered it. I was having instant regrets (and they lasted months through the group buy). But it was a toss up.. this for ~$380 shipped on the group buy.. (now over 400+), or closer to $1000 for real replacements, I just couldn't justify the price difference. Just bought a house in December last year so I need the money for other things.
But the more I looked at it the more I liked it. Definitely would not have picked it out had I had a different option (probably) It's one of those things you have to just get over.. I rather like it now. I'm not the kind of person to have glass shift knobs, velvet, interior lighting, custom drink holders etc. I think that's all a bit 'meh' It's cool if you're going for that full-luxury feel, but I just wanted to have better looking/feeling/strength interior than comes stock on our TLs. The clazzios are better than you would imagine. I have had cheaper ebay seat covers before and resold them immediately, they are all crap, don't bother.

Man...impressive for the price....but I just can't get past the diamond pattern I don't think. Still, if my seats were in terrible shape, I might struggle to pay the grand instead of $400 for these. How is the leather quality in terms of how it feels to the touch? I know I hate the cheap feeling of the stock leather.

these would be a huge seller if they didn't have the diamond pattern. past that, these look like they fit great and are a good alternative option for someone wanting to replace their beat up seats.
my seats still look good (knock on wood), but i'm curious how the black with the red stitching would look in a type s?

I'll do a quick sketch for you
Hope that makes sense, I'm pretty sure that's how they are set up. Obviously not the TL seat in the photo.. but you get the point.
Make sure the string does not come in contact with anything that will move if you pull the seat front/backwards, you don't want that to get caught and eventually break. I had to move it as to not get pinched near the rails.

It's PVC (i think they call it)? Feels really comfortable and SUPER easy to clean. I'm significantly happier with it than the stock leather to be honest. It seems really tough and not like it will puncture easily.
I don't know how many years it will hold up to my 40lb dog and whatnot though.. Much better than the leather did. Too much pressure on the nails and it would sometimes instantly puncture the perfs or scratch if he got too rowdy. Even with a blanket/hammock in the back for him, he'd jump up front I left the car sometimes.. normal dog things.

Thanks for the sketch! I know I need to hook under the seat, but just not sure what. There is like a tube/wire that goes across which I think powers the seat motor. I was thinking of hooking it to that, but it doesn't look like an actual bar. Is that where you hooked it to?
