I was just snooping around on CL and found this for sale in Worcester, MA. I know these are sought after so I thought I would share here on AZ for those who might be looking / in the market -

Nice car, but still don't understand why some people demand "cash only". Does he understand that elimitates probably 90+% of potential buyers that are looking for a 7+ year old car? What does he have against accepting a check from a lender that must clear PRIOR to letting the car go? I dunno, I just think some people are very misinformed, or not very motivated to get the task at hand done. If I'm selling a car and someone wants to give me a $20,000 check from some credit union or a bank damn right I'll take it and the car is sold...done deal. What exactly are people afraid of? The car and/or title do not leave until funds clear! Guess I just don't understand.

I agree with you but the ad does say "Cash or Cashiers Check only." So theoretically a bank or credit union check would be acceptable. The other thing to consider is $20k cash is a lot to be walking around with.

Im pretty sure "cash" just means cash equivalent. For example if they have the same bank, a direct transfer works fine, works on the spot, and is instant.
Or even if he means fiat money, then what I would do is go to bank with him, withdraw the cash at the bank, and he can deposit it into his account right after, guaranteeing its validity

Yeah I guess you guys are right. I'm sure if someone contacted this guy as a serious buyer he would be willing to work. If I were a seller though putting those words in the add has the potential for losing potential buyers that only plan on financing. They may see those words and immediately move on thinking he won't sell to them.

Unless he has this in a garage he will likely have trouble even finding it with the 3+ feet of snow in the past week. 41" set a new 10 day record.

You contacted the seller or are giving your interpretation of the CL ad?

Well it is a Type S, what wheels did you think was going to be on it? now if you said "wow aspec kit and aspec 18" wheels" then I could see the not too shabby statement making sense haha.

I was a little confused by your post because we had already discussed it above.

Yes - it seems like a pretty good deal and A-Specs and "Waffles" makes it all that much better. Surprised there hasn't been more interest as this is somewhat of a unicorn, but who knows.............

Taupe wouldn't be my first choice either, but the manual TL-S is not something you see for sale everyday. And this one is very low miles with two sets of rims and tires

Living in the Northeast, you learn to accept and deal with the cold weather and the snow. The difference this year has just been a lot of snow in a short period of time.
