Flashing headlights
Just curious if other RLX owners frequently experience drivers flashing their headlights at you - as though you have forgotten your high beams on?
Now that it gets darker in the morning and evening at this time of the year, I'm finding this is happening to me very regularly and I'm at the point of thinking perhaps I should have the dealer check to see if my lights aren't misaligned. I know the RLX lights are very bright - and I'm sure when I flash my high beams in response to prove that they are just my regular lights, people are probably like WTF - but since it happens so frequently, it's got me wondering....

happened to me when I first bought the 2006 TL.
everyone thought i had high beams on until I actually flashed them
I believe the manual gives instructions on how to properly aim the headlights
check and maybe even give it a go!
unless you want to spend time and money at a dealership...

There are situations, driving uphill or on a bumpy road for example, when the brightness of correctly-aligned Jewel-eye headlights can be mistaken for high beams by oncoming drivers. I'm not sure anything can be done in those instances. That said, if the flashing occurs frequently on level ground, a check of the alignment might be in order.
As justnspace mentioned, the same effect was seen when Xenon bulbs first came out and were much brighter than old halogen headlights. Now that LED's are brighter than Xenon, it will take time for drivers to adjust.
