17x9 +22 Enkei RPF1 SBC

Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $1300
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): CA
Item Condition: Used

Up for sale/trade are my very very new RPF1 wheels finished in the very rare factory Special Brilliant Coating (SBC).

Wheels are 17x9 +22 with a PCD of 5x114.3
These wheels are EXTREMELY LIGHTWEIGHT and I felt a huge difference in the car's performance as soon as I mounted these wheels on.

They weigh 16.75lbs each wheel (~8lbs lighter than stock!)

I've only driven on these wheels for a few hundred miles (barely put them on three weeks ago) and they are in PERFECT CONDITION. I bought them brand new.

Wheels do not come with tires unless it's a trade. The reason i'm selling these is because the tires I currently have on the wheels are rubbing. I'm looking for wheels a little less aggressive in offset because i'm going the performance route. You're probably gonna need to stretch a teeny bit to get rid of the rub.

I AM ONLY INTERESTED IN TRADING FOR LIGHTWEIGHT 17" or 18" WHEELS WITH AN OFFSET HIGHER THAN +25 THAT CLEARS THE BREMBOS. 8.5"-9" wide wheels only please. By lightweight, I mean wheels that are sub 20lbs.

Here's a list of wheels I would be interested in trading for:
Advan RS
Weds Sport tc 105n
Weds Sport tc-005
Volk TE37
Volk CE28N
Volk RE30
or similar lightweight wheels, no rotas/varrostens/xxr wheels please. looking for something strong, light, and not TOO far from the oem offset.

Wheels alone are going for $1300 obo without tires
I'll make a deal if someone wants the tires currently on the wheels. I don't know why anyone would though, it rubs lol

Just for clarification:

These wheels are also compatible with 1G and 2G TSX, RSX, and any other model that accepts 5x114.3 lug pattern. However, it's up to the buyer to determine whether or not the wheels will fit and I will not be held responsible as I know nothing about fitment with cars other than the 3G TL.

These wheels WILL FIT on a 3G TL using 235/40-17 tires.

They might even fit with 225/45, 235/45 and 245/40 tires (some fender rolling may be required), but I've never tried it so it's anyone's guess. They RUBBB with 245/45 tires though, i'm running 245/45-17 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires on em and the sidewall is too high; causes rubbing on dips and full turns with passengers.

Also, increased performance with these wheels is an understatement. The car is completely transformed with them on! The car feels very light and is much more toss-able now!

Haha because I have a sick urge to run 255s on the car! If these don't sell ill just keep them and get new tires lol, I still love the wheels so I don't mind keeping them on if nobody wants them haha

But if you would like to take them off of me be my guest!

I'm so indecisive with wheels lol

hey a 16" without a lip (like the XXR rims) will look decent and you will drop a lot more weight....

EDIT: lets get out of this thread and discuss all this....

LOL I wake up to and come to my FS thread to see this! You guys are awesome I still want to run a wheel with a slightly higher offset. These wheels are a littleeee too aggressive for me, but if these don't sell, I won't be mad either

Still laughing at FCVadi and Swoosh's posts you guys are the best

Come on lumyeinjun, keep the rpf1 and try to pull the fender more and add neg camber (it wont hurt in performance standpoint) if you want to roll with the 245 profile.

Remember you need to keep the promise of taking of the whole picture of your car with the rpf1. Do not forget about this!

Haha I haven't forgotten my promise! I will get full car pics once my car is clean! The weather here in southern california has been rather odd for the past week... water has been falling from the sky for several days. But don't you worry, I always take a picture of my car whenever I change the setup!

Back on topic, I don't think these wheels are going to sell very fast, but I want to put the option out there for perspective buyers But like I said, I don't think these wheels will sell soon, so I bought some 245/40 R17 hankook Ventus V12 evos for the meantime :race:

But if someone so happens to buy them from me soon, oh well! haha

those are so wet

If you decide to keep them and run a diameter = to stock to maintain speedometer reading let me know, i've always liked the look of a x9 and over rpf1 but the super aggressiveness required to clear the calipers have always set me off. Thus I left the wheels stock still

Enkei y u no 18x9ish +28 or more!

how close are the spokes to your caliper btw?

looking forward to your new tire set up, lower + some camber should clear as well. ah so many factors

The spokes are pretty close to the calipers even in +22 lol, I don't have an exact measurement but I would estimate about a quarter of an inch or less. Enkei didn't make this wheel bbk friendly lol

Wheels are still up for grabs guys!

As promised, here are the wheels on MY car:

I like! But there are some wheels I have in store for my car that I like more... so buy these off of me!!!

not sure if it would be possible for mods to delete the pics of scotterson's ride to avoid confusion if it's too much trouble, it's all good! They're about the same anyway haha

mod edit-done

LOL damnit, Anil!

And sorry John, I'm looking for a LESS aggressive wheel setup lol, I need an offset closer to 35ish, anything under 28et is too low. Also only looking for wheels between 8.5 and 9" wide. Thanks for the offer though!

To future trade offers, only looking for:
Wheel widths between 8.5 and 9"
Wheel diameters 17" or 18"
Offsets between 28 and 45 (that clear brembos)
Weight below 19lbs
Square setups (same sized wheel on all four corners)

Haha thanks man! And yeah no worries, I don't see anybody buying these soon so ill be keeping them for a while

I can now also offer the option of selling these wheels with tires (unmounted) or as a combo with wheels+tires (mounted)+tmps sensors (mounted). Prices will be $1450 and $1550 respectively. Two of the tires will be Hankook Ventus v12s (6/32" tread remaining) and the other two tires are Bridgestone Potenza re760 sport with 8/32" tread remaining.

The hankooks are pictured above and I will get shots with the potenzas whenever I can.

if you could lower the car more...nikov style, they'd be money. Why not go with a less tall tire and a little stretch?!?! I'm guessing if you want a square setup it's cause you care about rotating.

I'm not sure about the look, but dropping all that weight is awesome.

cause the main demographic that would be interested in 17" aftermarket wheels are the diet crowd for weight savings!

^^^ yes...you will lose ~40-50lbs (overall) from this "mod"....and 200-250lbs of dynamic weight.....it will help you a lot in acceleration.....

besides the car will look SICK !!!

but for right now i am planning on a engine built....if he still has em after a year, i might get em LOL....

Thanks for the bump! haha but I actually like the current ride height! Any lower and I would most likely run into clearance issues with my 245/40 tires Everything rides PERFECTLY right now, and I simply love the wide tires and I'm going with a square setup to rotate and to reduce understeer haha

And yes, this is probably the reason these wheels aren't selling on azine. I'd probably have better luck in the s2k forum because most TL owners want 19" wheels haha. The "TL sport" community is much smaller than the "TL luxury" community. It's okay though, I don't really mind if these wheels don't sell at all. It's kind of a "oh cool I get to keep these wheels!" if they don't sell or a "oh cool I get to get new wheels!" if they do sell kinda deal for me haha win-win!

no worries man, build that engine! i'm still loving these wheels so I don't mind them not being sold yet lol, but if an buyer decides he wants to buy then I won't be mad either!

It's not impossible that I would still have these wheels in a year. If that's the case and I'm still looking to sell, i'll lower the price for you because by then the wheels probablyyyyyyyyyyyy won't be in mint condition anymore

Keep up that engine build though, Anil! Your car is growing to be a great contribution to the forum!

Oh and it's probably the placebo talking, but I feel like my second gear is a beast now compared to when I was running on the stock type-s wheels! That's not a completely objective statement though, I don't have any pre/post race results so I can't say for certain, but it FEELS great! I'm a 6 speed type-s though, not sure if that makes a difference.

However, the biggest improvement I found was in the new toss-ability of the car. Feels much lighter and much more nimble

nice to hear you got them to fit and can toss it around without scrubbing fender

can you post some good pics of the current set up?

I'm thinking about going 18x9 +35 with a 10mm spacer to clear the calipers or something. Slightly bigger wheel for aesthetics and still weighs 17lbs. 245/40/18

Here are the wheels with the Potenza RE760 Sports in the front and the Ventus V12 Evos in the rear. 245/40R17 all around:

And as previously mentioned, NO RUBBING! I'm actually thinking about taking these off the black market soon, so i'll keep this thread updated when I make my final decision. The wheels are really growing onto me.

I believe the 18" rpf1s have a slightly different spoke design than the 17"s do, so you might be able to get away with a higher offset. Don't quote me on that though haha, if you could test fit a bunch of wheels, that would be great.

I'm still not looking to sell these wheels in a hurry, but i'm going to drop the price since i've been wearing these wheels for a while now Still never been curbed and the wheels are as good as new!

PRICE DROP

Option A: $1240 for wheels + enkei blue valvestems + acura hubcentric rings
Option B: $1420 for Option A + tires* (unmounted)
Option C: $1480 for Option A + tires* (mounted on wheels)
Option D: $1530 for Option A + tires* + 315mhz tpms sensors all mounted and ready to run

*Tires are two 245/40/17 Hankook Ventus V12EVO and two 245/40/17 Bridgestone Potenza re760 Sport tires (yes I bought them separately ). All four tires have over 50% tread left!

Prices are prettyyyyyyyyyyyy firm. No low balling! As I mentioned before i'm not in a rush to sell these but i'm putting the option out there because there are another set of wheels out there that I would rather have

Trades for lightweight 17-18" wheels still welcome as well!

Tempting, but I'm really not sure how they'd fit on a 7G Accord .. I think the TL can fit bigger widths in the rear.

I'll get back to you.
