Could somebody here help me locate the EGR valve in my 2.5 TL ? I tried to find it but I was not sure where to look for it.
I always change plugs and filter myself, so I once I find it I will be able to clean it .

Come on , TL experts. Just guide me to right direction, how can I locate the EGR passage way. I just need to clean it.

I called my dealer and they want $200.00 to $250.00 to clean it.

Sorry... Ramblings 's me...

But for the 2.5 its right there... #17 which is the EGR Chamber etc...

When you open your hood you should be able to see it right away... its the one preventing you from getting a Strut Bar...

where is the EGR located?

Facing the engine, it's on the left hand side, behind the manifold cover's "wing." Do a search, copy asked alot about this recently.

well i know there a diy somewhere on these thread..you can try to find it.

i fail on my emisson test, malfunction engine light and my egr crap show up..so i went to do the warranty..they change spark plug and ignition kit ,and fix my seats belt..put new drain wahser..change oil but no change rotors blah

I found the DIY on the EGR.

The f ing assholes would not help me out with the warranty. I have 151,000 miles and they would not do a thing.

Damn, that sucks... I've got 218k, and they were surprised that I still had the car. Funny how they sell it but they haven't got much faith in it... I think they should've given me free service just for surprising them with the mileage, hehe.

Part #20 is the EGR valve and gasket. The dealer replaced mines a couple years ago during the extended emission warranty period.
