Sooooooo..... Decided to go a new direction with my shield. The carbon fiber vinyl was great but I can always redo it if I miss it. I got ahold of Vossen and they gave me a paint that's pretty damn close to the color they use. I painted the beak/shield with the wheel color also in a matte finish. Thinking about doing all the Chrome trim in the same color but that's a pretty bold move so maybe I'll see if I can find some vinyl that might be close. Anyways heres some pics of the grill.

And since I still had some steam left in me, I went ahead and washed and waxed both of my TL's.

When I blacked out my lights I installed 2 sets of high powered LED's being the projector; ultra violet and red. I finally got around to adding some power to the ultra violet leds. I hooked them up to my running lights for now until I give it a independent power source so I can switch between colors. No real point in doing other then I figured what the hell. If I don't like I can just not turn them on or pull them out. Some Pics below.

Color kinda shifts depending on the angle. Why I went with ultra violet vs. the standard blue.

Definitely prefer the painted grille. You should paint the rear bumper trim the same color, might give you a bit of contrast in the back and really tie things together.

I thought about doing it but I couldn't decide if I would like it. Who knows I may do and also the emblem.

From what I've seen I really like the violet headlights, do you have any pictures of them at night from further away?

Got my tail lights tinted.... The guys who did it used black auto paint mixed with clearcoat to allow for a dark tint with good light visibility. I have to go back in a about 2 weeks so they can wet sand them. They are a little dark now but after the wet sand they will lighten up a bit. I'll take more pics later but got one for now.

Hmmm... maybe! I was outside with my co-worker and just felt like my car wanted me to take a picture of it. Haha at least some of the people at work understand my addiction, it could have been an awkward moment for someone who didnt.

Actually if they are clear mixed with black, then maybe, but if not sanded uniformly, they will be splotchy (light and dark)

Should be good tho.

Thanks man, I don't mind it dark but did want it a bit lighter. They mixed the clear with the black but I'm not sure if they cleared the entire light afterwards. I guess if its stuck being dark then its not all bad. I'll have to remember to check to make sure the sand evenly; thanks for pointing that out.

The visibility is pretty good. A guy I work with said they are still really bright in the day time. I have had other Acura TL's in front of me at night and the brake lights almost blind me. I guess they put out a lot of light to begin with which helps. Heres some pics though. Its not really sunny unfortunately.

Would you consider changing the signal bulbs to the chrome covered ones to eliminate the egg yolk looks that show through the clear area of the lens?

Tinting taillight is not my thing, maybe I'm getting old but overall it looks very nice. May I ask why you didn't paint your middle " Acura" logo

Hey everyone has their own taste and I respect that. I thought about painting it but I like the contrast for now. If I paint it I may match it to the wheels. I have a few other plans that it would compliment.

Love the blacked out Emblems! Cool CF idea for the grill. What kind of wheels are those and do you have the AWD model?

Thanks potmilkz, I like your tail lights too! I had thought about doing red too but figured I'd tint them black and stay with the dark theme. Did you paint them or vinyl them?
