My heart is on pain :(
So on Friday, I had already planned to drive vegas for labor day weekend. Excited with my 3month old TL, I couldnt wait till I got to see what was my mpg. Along the way there, I got side swiped by some korean. Being upset and disappointed, I just couldnt believe it. But it couldve been worse. Thankfully its just a bumper replacement and minor body work needed.
On The bright side, I was still able to drive from La to vegas on a full tank. I got a total of 350miles till I had REFIILLED my tank.

This is what I receive after spending 5mins at a grocery store.
Experience a hit and run, and I have to cough up $500 for a deductible. My TL currently has 166,000 KM on it, but I think I might not repair the damage. My plan is to keep driving the TL until it is on its last life, and replace it with a TLX.

Me or my wife have never paid a deductible...
OP, good luck with repairs... Would be a good time to consider an Aspec kit now

People are wack. Sometimes I wonder if they just don't care vs are atupid and dunno how to drive.
Like when I found an SUV literally wedged up against my rear bumper. Like do u really not know u hit my car then parked it without even moving. Lol
Good thing ur ok tho and u did not let it ruin ur trip...

I don't necessarily understand why you had to point out the other driver was Korean....
Anyway, good luck with the repair.

I hate to bring out the race card you guys, but in the past 11yrs of driving I've been crashed into 4 times by either an Asian or Korean. I also don't see whats the big deal of specifying details of her being Korean decent. If she was black, white, Purple, pink, etc.... I Would still give details.
Anyways I talked with her insurance, she took full responsibility and im waiting for her claims agent to come out and check out my car. Well see how it goes.

I'm asian myself and I don't find any offense to what the OP said.
His location states LA, and I know exactly how things are in LA. There ARE a lot of asian drivers, especially in SGV and rowland heights areas. A lot of times, those asian people cant drive very well. It's not an insult, it's just stating a fact.

You're lucky they didn't eat your dog as well.
If it was a Chinese driver, they would have surely eaten your cat.

Lol, kind of like the girl that cuts my hair. One day we were talking about the receptionist who works there, who isn't bad looking. We were trying to figure out her ethnicity and she kept saying she thought she was Thai....or maybe Korean....and then she said, "oh I don't know, I just know she isn't Asian." But then again this girl drives a Saab and told me they're made in Saudi Arabia. (SAudi AraBia)

Sorry to hear about your car. If he side swiped you, how come you didn't follow him and call police? A tire on an 18 wheeler exploded next to me while I was driving my mom's car on the highway last month. Very minor damage, got a chip on the quarter panel from shrapnel but the truck took off. Followed the truck 15 miles but finally did get a trooper to stop the driver and catch him. Worked out in my favor.
I'm also not one of the sensitive types, joking about race and being PC about everything. As long as anything said is not putting a race down and insulting them out of real racism. However the problem in what you said is HOW you said it. "some Korean" implied that you had a generalized opinion about Koreans. You confirmed it by saying you had 4 prior incidents with Koreans. We all know there is a stereotype out there that "Asians don't know how to drive." I know you didn't say that overtly but it could be implied that is your mentality and that can offend someone. And that whole "Asian/Korean" comment doesn't help make you sound any less ignorant. That's why it's best leaving those details out. I'm not calling you racist, don't worry I understand. Honestly there is a bit of truth to a lot of the stereotypes out there, (that's where we like to make jokes up to a limit) but always remember stereotypes don't make it a rule for everybody. As is many of us are profiled on a regular basis from our external appearance, it's enough to deal with.
As mentioned, maybe there are a lot of Southeast Asians demographically where you live. That is probably the greatest factor of why you have had accidents with them. But why say anything about race if you didn't think it had anything to do with it? Why not tell us the hair color or their height too? lol. You see why it doesn't matter?

This mans car gets side swiped and damaged and you guys make a bigger deal about how he mentioned the other drivers nationality?
How about some of you just get over it and stop being so sensitive.
OP didn't mean any harm when he mentioned the drivers nationality.
It's like me getting hit by someone else and I come on here and say
and than someone freaks out
