Actuator problem with RSX?
Hi, i have all heard you guys say that you should check the actuator on our car if you feel that it is not going as fast as you would think. Well i was wondering if this can be done on an RSX. My friend has a rsx type-s and we went for a ride last night. He ran it hard and shifted at 7900 redline but i could swear that my cl-P felt faster by the seat of my pants. He also said that he felt that his car was slower now and that he felt his mom's tl-p was faster. I am wondering if this could be the same problem and if there is anyway we could check the actuator if that's it. Thanks

If the RSXS has dual stage induction it isn't mentioned anywhere on Acura's web site. Therefore, I think not. Where as the CLS on Acura's web site dual stage induction is mentioned several times!

I don't know what the RSX has, i bet that it may not even have a actuator so i'm just throwing this question out if anyone has any ideas of what else could be wrong. Thanks

By seat of the pants feel 90% of all 6 cylinder engines will "feel" faster than a 4 cylinder. Why? In a word Torque! The RSXS' peak torque comes high on the rev range where normal drivers rarely go. Unless you wind that motor out in won't "feel" very fast.
