wheel bearing
2002 acura tl type s 55 thousand miles...been hearing a humm from the wheels when i reach around 40 mph. Sounds like a 4x4. Took it to the shop they said it's my front passenger side wheel bearing. The mechanic said he recommends that I change both front bearings. Any advice.. Also should I be preparing myself for anything else to go wrong because of the wheel bearing problem. One more thing he's charging me 250 for parts and labor.. what you think

I wouldnt worry about the other side till you get rid of the existing noise
while its good to replace things in pairs, its not always needed~
pretty low miles for that failure so Im guessing bad roads speeded it up

i would only replace the ones that needed at this point....but i would def replace the other one....also that price is great for both parts and labor...hopefully the mechanic who looked at it is right becuase sound travels it could sound like a front and be a rear..sound like left but could be right ya know.....but replacing the one for now wont be a problem

So im really thinking of doing my rear bearing since its making some weird noise humming, and some vibration when im slowing down, more so with more passangers.
So the bearing is in the hub, is it more feasable to replace the whole hub or try to pop the bearing out and replace that?
