it certainly was in the dry. I have mixed feelings about the wet. On the positive, it took less speed to experiment with the car, so I could play around and get it to push or oversteer fairly easily, so that was fun. On the negative, my tires couldn’t really handle the rain at higher speeds, so I had 2 little moments on the straights which I really didn’t like. There was a fair amount of carnage too so I really didn’t want people around me. If I slowed down on the straights, it put me out of sync with the speed of the other cars on track. At the end of it all, I was just happy I kept the car on the paved bits. I’m aware of 6 cars that made contact with the walls(there might have been more) some had small scrapes and a dent panel, some had smashed headlights or taillights and some completely un-drivable.

Welcome back and congrats! Nice color! Was it sitting on the lot or did you have to wait for it?

Thanks! It was on the lot. I was surprised. I acted pretty quickly when I saw it, because I couldn't find another one within reasonable driving distance.

There was another one, but it had black interior.

Nice. That interior is nice, good call!
just curious, what did you cross shop?
It’s been a long time since I went car shopping so, I’m curious what’s out there.

Good question. We only really looked at the Mazda CX-90. Nice car, but after watching a few YouTube reviews I decided against it. Basically, it's a first year car with several recalls.already. Oh, also the Infiniti QX-60. I didn't decide on it because (no offense to anyone who has one) it looks like a mom mobile. They did good with the refresh but stylistically it's not quite there for me yet.

Congrats on the Acura, gorgeous looking car. When we were shopping for a three row, I was shocked to see how the interior quality on Infiniti's seems to haven really dropped since I had my FX. I wanted the MDX but wife wanted the Q7.

Any thoughts on the infotainment? Has that improved over the years? It was the one big sticking point I had with the MDX back when we were looking for a 3 row.

I can't really speak on improvements, as it's been a long time since I've had an Acura. I can say that the system is really responsive (no noticable input lag). Also, most automotive YouTubers don't like the trackpad, and prefer a touchscreen. I'm the opposite. I like not having to worry about fingerprints or reaching for the screen. The resolution is nice too, both with the backup camera and overall. I also like the sounds it makes when swiping or selecting things.

Anything bad? Honestly, not that I can think of at the moment. Screen could be bigger, I guess? Oh, it is a bit busy, but after playing with it a bit you get used to it, and using the trackpad.
