Radio help

My radio (2004 Non-Navi) half works. AM and FM work. CD does not. When I press the CD button it does absolutely nothing.. no big deal, who uses CD's anymore... my concern though is when I get a Aux Adapater am I not going to be able to use it since the CD button doesn't work?

I'm thinking that I'll get the same result with the CD player, it won't do anything even with the adapter plugged in.

Has anyone else have/ had this issue and does a Aux adapter still work or is there a fix? I'm so close to going to a junk yard and getting another '04 head unit to swap out.

Most likely you will have to replace the radio if the aux adapter is hooked in and it's still not changing to aux mode.

I had a CD stuck in my 04 w/navi and the CD player wouldn't turn on or when I pushed the button it wouldn't switch. What I did was take the navi out and breakdown the CD player and got the CD out and now the Hutton works but who ever owned the car before me jammed CD's in there and chewed up the teeth that switch the CDs. What I would do is take it out of the console and unplug everything and thencplugnit backcin like a hard reset. If that doesn't work then I'd take the CD player a part and make sure all the connectors are good. And if that doesn't work either buyna jewncd player or go on eBay and look for the acura head unit repair ad and sent yours in for repair.

Nah, I jut hit load and put a CD in a BAM, everything I working and changing like it should. I guess mom took all the CD's out because I thought the car stil had CD's in the changer, but I was wrong.
