Product Review: 303 Aerospace Protectant
Product Review: 303 Aerospace Protectant
Take everything you think you might know about this awesome product and forget it because it's even better than you've heard. I was anxious to try Aerospace Protectant and finally got around to putting it on my list. I had actually waited so long and heard such great things I was beginning to worry that I would set my sights too high and wind up disappointed. I was wrong. Awesome doesn't begin to describe this stuff...it simply boggles the mind with what it can do and the ease with which it does it. Door panels, dashboards, engines, black exterior plastic and trim...you name it, chances are this will do it.
Unlike many similar products, this leaves a nice, matte finish and a smooth texture without the greasy feeling and mirror-reflection properties of others. I gave it the first big test today and used it on the engine of my Santa Fe which was in need of a beauty treatment anyway. Just spray on and wipe off with a microfiber towel and this is the result. This stuff may be a bit on the expensive side ($23 for a 32 oz. bottle) but it's more than worth it!!

Sorry, man....I was a detailing virgin up until just about two years ago when I really started getting into it. Hell, three years ago I was washing my car with terry towels and drying them with bath towels.

I love 303. I actually use it on a ton of other stuff besides my car. I use it on lawn furniture, my Klipsch RF 83 Surround Sound System in the house and anything else that i want the finish to stay in good condition, not fade, crack, etc...
A 32oz bottle goes a longggggggg way too. You dont have to saturate stuff like you have to with other protectants.
Detailed Image has it on sale right now too!

If you know you are going to use it a lot or detail a lot of cars, grab the 128oz jug, it bring the price per ounce down significantly!

Mostly because I found that Meguiars #40 covered the air bag imprint better on mine. And in reality the magority of the UV protection in dressings is the reflection .. not something "special" incorporated into it like we are lead to believe.
Do you know of a product that is actually a UV protectant rather than a marketing gimmick? Obviously I'd like to actually protect my interior!
There might be but I'm not aware of anything affordable .. Myself I think we over react to the whole thing .. JMHO. Sucumb to marketing.
I just detailed an original 66 Chev P/U that is single stage paint .. original interior and has been no more than carport stored if that and the interior is great shape and fo the first 30 years never saw any protectant.
From what I understand ozone does more damage to our interiors than UV.

So far I've also tried it on my black plastic bits including the splash guards and the rear bumper scuff plate. Also I tried it on the rubber weather stripping which now looks and feels new!
sigh.. i just discovered this product today as you see in my recent thread in this subforum. i see you guys have been mentioning it for quite some time.
aerospace protectant is nothing short of amazing. this has to be the best 15 bucks on a bottle i've spent this year

Sling is where liquid tire dressing starts to run with the centrifugal force of a rotating wheel. The laws of physics dictate it will run out so tiny droplets of the dressing eventually fly off the edge of the tire and splatter onto the paint, leaving tiny black dots. It's especially noticeable on light colors but annoying regardless of your car's color.

What are you using to clean and then dress your tires? You can still get a very good shine without the sling.

I still have yet to try my bottle, and I've had it for a year at least. I remember someone saying you needed to wet it down to use it on the interior, is that right?
i wiped mine down with the diluted woolite solution...then used the 303...it came out perfect...the 303 is no joke..
