I know it's a semi-different platform, but my co-worker has a G35-S... and it's pretty sweet. I personally wouldn't drop a 2008 black type-s for a G37 tho. Just my

The G series is like a "wannabe" luxury car.
The Type-S is like a "wannabe" performance car.

You choose which one suits your boat!

I would keep the Type-S though. 370Z may change my mind, but that's a maybe. Only thing wrong with the Type-S is the FWD platform, if it was RWD, I wouldn't be surprised if the TL has surpassed a 10 second 1/4 awhile back.

Depends how much you like a constantly-vibrating manual shift lever, regardless of engine/car speed. I was considering a G37 a few months ago as a TL replacement, but the continuous shifter vibration during the test drive really annoyed me.

I'd only consider an auto transmission G37... if I couldn't get a 2008 TL Type-S.
