welcome, Please read the thread titled `AV6 swap` for info you need
its near the top of gen2 thread list

the obvious difference in numbers you gave are Japanese's Domestic Market and US market
someone installed a JDM trans the other day - on here- and has issues with it running higher rpm
Note: that person re-used the stock torque convertor which may be loaded up with crud from last trans failure!

try your local junkyard (auto dismantler), They will use the connected radiophone system (pre-internet communication method) to locate one for you from other place if they are out of stock
There are many (iirc) 06-07 trans avail from crashed accords
750$ is max you should pay

please spend the money on a rebuilt torque convertor, the old one is plugged with clutch particulate matter and will ruin the new trans!

plan on a few times of drain and refill fluid change to get all the old stuff out of trans and be on the Honda dw-1
Guessing the accord trans has external atf filter like ours, replace that as well!

ck the shift/pressure switches solenoids whatever they may be called. Much easier to clean or replace while trans is on the bench

Don't forget the front and side motor mounts inspection, the front can fail every 70kmiles! Its way easier to replace with trans removed,,15 minutes

The av6 tranny come with the torque converter as well, do you think I can use the one that's is gonna come with the tranny or buy a rebuilt one? For sure I'm not going to use the torque converter from the old tranny that I just pulled out from the tl's

you have ZERO reason to believe the used TC with the used trans is going to be in like new condition!!
Assume its fluid was never changed and its holding a lot of crud, just waiting to ruin your trans!

Spend the money now, or do the whole job again later, hmmmm you have vegas in your name,,do you think the casino is going to win?

If you stay with the old unit and come back here in a month saying trans wont shift,,
do we get to give you a bunch of %$* about it?

I'm going with your oppinion 01tl04tl, I'll get a rebuilt torque converter. Now my question is am I going to get the one for the tl's or the av6 torque converter? Is it 22 spine? And yes I live in Las Vegas and don't like to gamble or raking chances, I want to get it done and doing right the first time.

Im not informed enough about the two trans to offer advice beyond get a rebuilt TC
I know,, can you believe it, something I don't know!!

Guessing you would use the one that's made for the replacement trans
What does our DIY on the swap have to say? changes in rpm and shift points?

If still in doubt PM fsttyms1 our guru of mods and swaps

I have heard you need to pre-fill the new TC with Honda dw-1 atf as much as possible
Many problems getting fluid in once its installed and it holds about half the total capacity
(not certain of capacity on accord trans, TL was 7.3 qts)

shoot! 2 things I don't know! I better get off the internet~

engine rear main oil seal is a good replacement now- with trans out.
any trans seals, shaft seals etc that can be replaced should be, and cleaning or replacement of pressure switches/solenoids
Call it insurance

As far as my swap goes, ordered used 2007 av6 tranny with torque converter from LKQ and has about 64k miles on it, don't know if that's actual mileages on it or not. Heard from a friend today and he's said all of the recycler marked their mileage down by 40% of their actual mileages. The tranny will be delivery tomorrow, ordered rear main seal, new external aft filter, two new axle shaft seals, all new solenoids exception of the speed sensor and gear position sensor and also in the process of ordering a rebuilt TC ($150) for a rebuilt TC. Anything else that I might have left it out?

New o-rings for the oil warmer assembly.

New gasket for the spin on filter housing (goes between the housing and trans).

Torque converter o-ring for the trans input shaft.

Trans input shaft seal.
