VHT NiteShade
Im using a tint spray especially made for lights called VHT NiteShade. It looks real good on taillights to blackout. Also buy clear coat to put on after to give it the shiny look still

if you do decide to spray paint your lights, be sure to cardboard and newspaper everything. freaking overspray is like bad rap music, it's errrrrwhere.
i spray painted my rear lip and i got a nice clearcoat on my front windshield

Im about to go to my local flea market and get it done. Them people dont give a damn about the laws and just need money. They do good work too. Should get the front windshield tinted as well too. Florida heat be killing it.

i dont think its illegal..i had mine sprayed by an Acura paint guy...he popped the lights out...taped the clear part off...and sprayed black clear coat on it..on the OUTSIDE of the lights...when i turn my lights on at night...you cant tell they have been painted black at all..only when the lights are off..my lights shine through the paint perfect and i doubt ill ever get harassed about it..i wouldn't do it any other way besides clear coat of black...i have friends who used film...didn't look so hot...spray paint (made for tinting the taillights) WAY to dark and looked like cardboard had been put over the lights it was a terrible texture looking shit...if you don't leave the clear alone..i personally think it looks terrible as well...but its totally up to the person who owns the car the just my 2 cents...hope it helps
Total cost- 50$

True that. What I meant by illegal is, all the tint shops I asked were like we don't specialize into that, we have to abide my state regulations (I had a argument over it), and I simply came to a conclusion of just going to a private shop, that works "under the table". I know for a fact if you can see the tail lights at night from a certain distance, then you are fine. It's only when visibilty gets blocked, then it becomes into a issue. Im suprised Acura did yours, they were fussing about my mods when I had to get warranty work done, and suprisingly they got bitched at to a whole new level. But, I'm using tints just in case I ever get tired of it.. Thanks for the input tho and sweet setup.
