wrap time

quick shots of 3M satin pearl white and gloss black wrap i did this weekend. still debating on different wheel color, and some of the plastidip'd trim came off in the process so need to respray but overall its 99% done.

i also retrofitted quad projectors (lexus rx330 with STI lens), im using that for bixenon. the other projector where high beam was, is nothing more than a shroud with a lens. the headlights are not tinted at all. i also have matchbox projector fogs, all with 6k bulbs

Lookin good!!!

I suggest painting the wheels a different color to help break up that white!

a gun metal (anthracite) would look like SEX on the white body!

yeah i did it myself, my girlfriend helped too. i will say it was a lot tougher than i thought. molding on the TL kit was amatuear work compared to the meticulousness of the wrap (especially the bumpers). once i finish plastidiping trim ill throw up some more shots this evening.

yeah ive had the single outlet exhaust for about a year now i like it. its 2.5'' piping, vibrant cat, manaflow resonator and a vibrant muffler

i've always been curious as to how the wrap looks for instance with the hood up or doors open. Do you just wrap around the edge of the hood and cut it?

Love the lip and the color. Painting the wheels a different color would break it up and display each individual part in a more vibrant way. A question about the exhaust though. Do you notice any different in performance?

this was also my dilemma, ive seen vehicles done with one sheet covering the whole side and simply cut out the doors and gas cap etc but i precut out square sheets for fenders/doors/bumpers etc and wrap one panel at a time and when i make my cuts, lets say for the door, i run my blade along the fender then tuck. then when i wrap the fender, i run my blade along the door (careful not to cut the edge of the wrapped door) then tuck this gives you another couple mm's to work with rather than trying to cut exactly in the middle of the gap and barely having enough to wrap around the edges

well i had the headers put on at the same time, so Yes i did feel a difference but hard to tell how much came strictly from the single exhaust

2 days, maybe 20 or so hours. youll need 55-60 feet. i cant remember exact price for wrap plus squeegee and primer, blades, knifeless tape but around $600. youll need a heat gun too

ahh ok, nice!

did you have any small dings on the car? does the wrap do a good job of covering up any dings or did you have to have them fixed before installation?

lol never really thoght about it. thats the standard size for the crush type hub. Its been a while since i ordered it but i got the MOMO acura cl hub and the splines didnt match up. IIRC our cars use the S2000 hub, so i got that one and it slid right on. honestly if it was any slimmer id want a spacer, its the right distance for me right now.

I realized this after the wrap. I didnt understand it because everything felt and looked even as possible before the wrap. It was a little tricky being that the left and the right side of the cutout are different, the angle of the flaring out of the lip is different left to right and left side hangs lower than the right side of the cutout. i wasnt sure if i should shave one side down or build the other side out, but yeah the wrap will take any imperfections and magnify them. I will eventually redo the body work and rewrap it in the spring.
